We met Melva at "Central Park" Barrier Reef Dr, San Pedro, Belize, in her orange WTF Shirt (Where's The Food). We were kept waiting for a family of 5, some of us inwardly hoping they wouldn't show. They made it with two minutes to spare... with 3 young kids.

First stop the  Fry Jack House  (W29Q+92J, Black Coral Street, San Pedro, Belizea) for savoury and sweet Fry Jack's. It looked like a chain but was a local business. A delicious treat, we both preferred the savoury versions, Kim wants to return for the fish option.

Sitting beside Canadian expats (he'd lived in Sudbury before moving to Bolton and ended up in Montreal.) "Is that where you two met?" Asked Rob innocently. "That's my daughter." Was his reply.

Next stop was a more local-looking place - Elvi's Kitchen  (Pescador Dr, San Pedro, Belize) Best rice and beans, they used coconut milk and the stewed chicken was tasty. Rob used both hot sauces. Very good coleslaw.

Havana Cigars  (Barrier Reef Dr, San Pedro, Belize) For rum tasting? 3 shots! None for Rob. They really should have a non-alcoholic price for this tour.

Anglers Seafood House  (Tarpon Street, Ambergris Caye, Almond St, San Pedro, Belize) for a soup. They had a small bowl of shredded habanero peppers, some people picked out tiny bits to spice up their soup. Rob grabbed a spoonful. ;)

El Fogon   (2 trigger fish street San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize) for Rum drinks, conch fritters and chicken salbutes. The salbutes were excellent, Rob had 2.

Belize Chocolate Company (Barrier Reef Drive, San Pedro, Belize) Chocolate to finish, Kim had an unimpressive tiny bite of chocolate and Rob had a large chocolate chip cookie.

Big Taste (Pelican St, San Pedro, Belize)

Rob's favourite spot for a bite. Big taste does tacos.  That's why you come here.  On Tuesdays they have 5 tacos for the price of 4.  I ordered fish tacos and they were wonderful and filling, especially with a little hot sauce.  This is a true 'hole in the wall'.  4 picnic tables for seating.  The staff was friendly and the food was prepared in less than 10 min. 

The Farmhouse Market & Cafe - for Coffee and fresh Croissants

The Village Supermarket - Shopping there, Kim asked if they had any Dates. "How many do you need?" Just a few. "No problem, wait a minute." A few minutes later, he gives her a small bag of Dates - his wife brought them from their apartment above (along with his lunch) - no charge.
