We flew into Perth, but we stayed in... Scarborough!? Well, Scarborough Beach on the Western edge of Australia. After a brutal case of food poisoning in Singapore, Kim spent the first few days here in a deep sleep while Rob—now RUB (thanks to Aussie accents)—took on new roles: Coles courier, muffin engineer (BBQ + croissant tray = “muffins”), and fearless Indian Ocean sunrise swimmer.

Scarborough Beach? Stunning. Our “apartment” at The Quest? Less so. The food scene? Burgers. Grill’d, Betty’s, rinse, repeat. RUB tried snorkelling, forgot to check the weather, and settled for a very windy beach stroll instead. 

The one time we really needed the TV to work... Streaming was a fail, but at least Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown saved the day. Here is our "Tech Support" diagnosing our WiFi & TV issues...

Once Kim regained consciousness, she explored Scarborough—a charming, laid-back spot. The food? Meh. The sunsets? Incredible. Watching Single White Female while sick? Unsettling. Being face to crotch while eating a burger at Betty’s? Unforgettable.

Perth*, you were… something. Sydney, let’s go.
